🙂 PAST EVENT 🙂
We didn’t have a big group out for our winter farm tour …. I think the cold weather beforehand deterred people … But the kids that came had a blast and enjoyed seeing all the critters … and the critters thoroughly enjoyed all the treats (cereal, peppermints & lettuce) that were brought for them!
Kids of all ages are invited to come see what a small farm looks like during a Maine winter. 🙂
Please register by Mon/Feb 16th so we can plan on the correct # attending. 🙂
We will give a tour of all the animals with information about each animal type given as well. (cows, pigs, goats, sheep, rabbits, guinea fowl, ducks, geese, chickens, and heritage breed turkeys). Those that wish to may help feed out hay to various pens…. and of course will get the opportunity to pet the critters. 🙂
Kids are welcome to bring a sled (plastic ones work best) and test the sledding hill out. (we only have small & medium slopes so the sledding isn’t super fast .. but still enjoyable weather depending)
Homemade hot chocolate will be served ~ made with milk from the cows here on our farm.
A parent/guardian must accompany child(ren).
$10/per child (2 parents/guardians/OR 1 parent + parent helper may accompany children FREE / fee will apply to additional adults in a group)
*** Payment may be mailed (Windy Ridge Farm 299 Bagley Hill Rd; Troy, Maine 04987) , paid via PayPal OR paid in cash upon arrival.
*** Children are welcome to bring treats to feed the critters ~ bread ends, apples, carrots, even stale cereal 🙂
*** Dress WARM!!!!!!!!! ***
(I don’t care how old you are, or if it ruins your fashion statement .. wear a hat!) 😀
*** If weather is severely cold or extremely high winds we will reschedule this event! ***
